ART

High school art students from BHS and FRHS got to visit The Palace of the Legion of Honor Fine Art Museum in San Francisco last week. They explored over twenty galleries on two stories, seeing art from Ancient Greece, Rome and Egypt through the Renaissance, Impressionism, and today. The artwork ties to everything they've learned about art history throughout the year in art class.

"Seeing the pieces in real life, going on a “scavenger hunt” to find selected artworks, and sketching their favorite was absolutely awesome! Rodin's The Thinker was a big hit, along with one of Monet's Water Lilies and The Broken Pitcher by William-Adolphe Bouguereau. After the museum, the fun continued at Pier 39, where everyone got to explore San Francisco like real tourists." - Mrs. Hickey
