Notice of Vacancy for Board Member Seat

A vacancy has occurred on the Governing Board of the Fall River Joint Unified School District. California Education Code allows this board to provisionally appoint a replacement at our regularly scheduled meeting Wednesday, August 12, 2026 at 6:00 pm at the District Office located at 20375 Tamarack Avenue Burney, CA 96013.

The qualifications needed to serve according to California Education Code section 35107: - 18 years of age or older and a citizen of the state of California - Lives within the boundaries of the school district - Is a registered voter, and not disqualified by the Constitution or laws of the state from holding a civil office - An employee of the school district is not eligible

Those interested can speak to the board and be asked a few questions at the above mentioned meeting, and the board will vote on their choice of appointee
