visit with Assemblymember Hadwick
We would like to extend our heartfelt appreciation to Assemblymember Heather Hadwick and Assembly District 1 Field Representative Teporaca Roadrunner for touring BES today with Superintendent Nugent. We truly appreciate her team taking time out of their busy schedules to visit and spend time with our school communities.  Assemblymember Hadwick recently posted this to her official Facebook page.

Had a wonderful day visiting Burney Elementary School with Principal Tara Aderman as the finishing touches were being made to their brand new playground—the kids are going to love it! 🛝 It was inspiring to see their thoughtful sensory rooms in action and hear real success stories about how they’re helping students thrive. 🏫 I also had the chance to speak with dedicated teachers who are working hard to get ready for the first day of school. Their passion and preparation are truly admirable.

🐾 Team Hadwick calso stopped by Fall River Junior/Senior High School for a tour with the Principal Liz Guererro and Superintendent Morgan Nugent. ⚙️I was blown away by their Ag Mechanics projects—what an incredible example of hands-on, career-focused education in action. We had important conversations about the need for maintenance funding in small, rural schools and how we can continue to advocate for the resources they deserve.

✏️ As your Assemblywoman for District 1, I’m committed to fighting for rural education, funding equity, and the support our educators and students need to succeed.

🍎🚌📚Wishing all students, teachers, and staff a fantastic start to the school year.
